Thank you Port Louis!
The Antigua Classic Regatta welcomes back our generous sponsor, Port Louis of Grenada, a prestige marina owned by Camper & Nicholson Marinas. They are underwriting the complete cost of our Committee Boat Tivoli. Their generous sponsorship includes the charter fee, fuel cost and on board catering.
Talking about Port Louis sponsorship with Danny Donelan, their Sales and Marketing Co-coordinator, he said how pleased they are to be associated with this historic event that encourages so many quality yachts to come to the Caribbean. Port Louis also sponsors the Grenada Sailing Festival in January and the Round the Island Race in March and hopes one day to be the sponsors of Grenadas own Classic Yacht Regatta.
Port Louis is interested in extending the season in the Caribbean by providing first class facilities for yachts at the southern end of the island chain, below of the hurricane belt. The marina already has in place 50 slips for 12 to 40 meters, 2 for 55 meters, and 10 for 60 to 90 meters and expects to have a total of 140 slips by December this year.
Camper & Nicholson Marinas recognized Grenada as the closest gateway to the Grenadines with direct flights from Miami, London and New York. Their intention is to make Port Louis the southern hub for the magnificent yachts of today and yesterday, as it used to be in the late 60s and 70s.
Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta is delighted to have them as sponsor and wishes them well with this exciting project. Check them out www.cnmarinas.com.
